Where We're Working
Industrial Development Board of Jefferson County, TN selects Garner Economics The IDB of Jefferson County has selected Garner Economics to conduct a comprehensive economic development strategy for the County. Garner Economics will conduct a detailed economic analysis of the region, conduct a site analysis of potential locations for a new business park, provide business and industry targets, and offer detailed recommendations to the County on how to be a global competitor for economic growth. According to Ed Stiner, chairman of the IDB, "The Industrial Development Board of Jefferson County conducted a national search to select a consulting firm to do a comprehensive economic development strategy for our County. We wanted a firm that was innovative, creative, yet realistic in their approach in helping us achieve our goals of quality jobs creation and capital investment for our County. Garner Economics was selected unanimously by our Board because they proved to our leadership the industry knowledge and offered a comfortable approach that differentiated them from everyone else". Louisiana Economic Development Selects Garner Economics to Conduct Local Assets and Challenges Assessments
Garner Economics was recently selected by the Louisiana Department of Economic Development to conduct an assets and challenges assessment for eight rural communities in Louisiana. According to Skip Smart, director of Community Development, LED is assisting eight pilot communities to have a detailed analysis of themselves by a site location consultant. These communities will be analyzed just as they would be if a consultant was reviewing them on behalf of a corporate client. Garner Economics uses 81 variables when analyzing the assets and challenges of a community on behalf of our company clients. We use much of the same criteria when we undertake a locational assessment for our community clients. Call us to see how we may apply our siting criteria to your community's assessment.
