Katie Katie Kerwin's Recap on Holiday Show

This past Holiday Show was our most festive yet, with over 100 musical theatre and first year students singing, dancing and dazzling our family and friends!  The Musical Theatre Company (MTC) led Santa's sleigh with their exciting opening number of "Jingle Bells", and closed the show with the uplifting and heart warming song "Believe".  Other song highlights included the classic favorite "Let It Snow," the rowdy "Louisiana Christmas" and our newest favorite addition to the Holiday Show, "Play The Dreidel Game", complete with a life size sparkling dreidel spinning!  In the lobby our Carolers sang some classic Christmas favorites to welcome our guests and fill the atmosphere with holiday cheer.  A good time was had by all, both on stage and in the audience.  We all were very proud!!!

WSPA friend, Antoinette Oliveros, is sharing her photos of the Holiday Shows.

artistsArtists in Motion Bay Area by Sonia David

While the school was hard at work preparing for Nutcracker in November of last year, a few volunteers and I were busy working on a new non-profit organization that would support WSPA's Performance Program.

Our efforts were rewarded when the incorporation of the new organization was approved by the Secretary of State of the State of California on December 21, 2011.  While we are still in the process of getting the rest of the documents filed, we are very happy to introduce to you our new, parent-based, non-profit organization...ARTISTS IN MOTION BAY AREA!

We invite all parents, especially those of the Performance Program students, to attend the celebration on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 5 pm at WSPA.  This will mark the first General Meeting of AIM Bay Area.  For additional information about this event, please check the flyer below.

If you have questions that you want answered at the meeting, please email artistsinmotionba@gmail.com or leave a voice message at (650) 273-6246 by February 10th.

AIM Bay Area is currently running a LOGO design contest.  For information about this contest, please visit WSPA office or contact Matthew Montenegro at artistsinmotionba@gmail.com.
