Mark your calendars for Frenchy's 28th Annual Stone Crab Weekend! This year the feast will take place on Oct. 26 & 27, 2012 during the Block Party in front of Frenchy's Original Cafe.

We're finalizing the development

of a new website specific to Stone Crab Weekend so be sure to check your email in the coming weeks for the link to it! It'll have all the details about the weekend's activities, including live music, kid-friendly fun, raffle info, hotel specials, FAQ, photo galleries and more!

Artistic dolphin pod coming to Clearwater Beach

Nearly 50 six foot tall fiberglass dolphins, each sponsored by various local businesses and organizations are coming to Clearwater Beach!

Frenchy's Restaurants' dolphin created by local artist Kumpa Tawornprom, will be among those on display.

This exhibit will be installed in Pier 60 Park at Clearwater Beach from August 6 - September 4, 2012. Don't miss seeing this exciting display!

Free skin cancer screenings on Clearwater Beach

Moffitt Cancer Center's Mole Patrol® will offer free skin screenings from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, August 11 at the Clearwater Beach Pier 60 Pavilion. Stop by and get screened by one of Moffitt's trained professionals.

Oncologists, dermatologists, nurse practitioners and physician assistants assisted by registered nurses will perform the free skin cancer evaluations. If screeners find a suspicious lesion, they will recommend a follow-up appointment with a specialist of your choice.

Sunscreen samples, as well as educational information, will also be available. The American Cancer Society estimates more than 5,400 Floridians will be diagnosed with melanoma, the most serious type of skin cancer, this year. Prevention and regular screenings are the best way to reduce your risk of developing this disease.

Free movies every weekend on Clearwater Beach

You can catch a free family-friendly flick every Friday and Saturday night at Pier 60's Sunset Cinema.

Movies are shown on the jumbo inflatable 50ft. screen and popcorn and beverages are available. This attraction is made possible through the support of the local beach businesses...so we hope you enjoy!
