Mark your calendars for Frenchy's 28th Annual Stone Crab Weekend! This year the feast will take place on Oct. 26 & 27, 2012during the Block Party in front of Frenchy's Original Cafe. We're working through all the details now so stay tuned as we look forward to announcing food and drink specials, live music line up, activities, sponsor/partner specials and more!
It was a few days of havoc on our beach, thanks to Tropical Storm Debby. On Sunday, June 24, the torrential rain caused major flooding and forced us, and many other businesses, to close our operations for most of the day. But, by Wednesday the skies were sunny again and all was well! Here is a photo of our docks at Frenchy's Seafood Company on Sunday, right on the Intracoastal, completely submerged!
Morgan Murphy, author of Southern Living's Off the Eaten Path, stopped into the Original Cafe last week. He's on a road trip to research local eateries throughout the South for the next edition of his book, Off the Eaten Path: Second Helping.
We served up our famous Grouper Reuben sandwich, Seafood Gumbo, Crabby Shrimp Sandwich and Poutine. The book will be published next spring and Frenchy's will be one of the 75 restaurants featured with photos and recipes.

Additionally, we appreciate all who took the time to visit us that week, as you assisted us in donating a portion of our special menu sales to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.
