Slalom Course
Puts the "Roar" in
Roar n' Soar

Since the very beginning, one of the most popular features at Roar n' Soar has been the Slalom Course, a sanctioned competition sponsored by The Jaguar Club of Florida and Sun Coast Jaguar Clubs. Novice and skilled drivers of all makes and models register. Many of the exotic vehicles competiting are seldom seen on the road, much less in competition.
On the Slalom Course, drivers compete for the fastest time while navigating three configurations within a single cone-lined course located on the hangar ramp. Smooth handling is the key to victory, as hitting a cone adds a hefty two-second penalty on the Roar n' Soar course, which typically takes less than one minute to complete.

Event organizer Ginger Corda, president and slalom manager for Jaguar Club of Florida, points out that it is exciting for spectators and drivers alike, "For drivers, it hones skills and plays to the competitive impulse. Drivers compete in their class and also with against their own past performance. They have a great time doing it and watching others too!"

Haunted Hangar
Storytelling Tour
Featured Daily in October

According to Fantasy of Flight's ace storytellers, "Aircraft are vehicles of intense sensation." Are those sensations responsible for all the spooky tales that haunt old airfields and follow vintage aircraft? What can we learn from them?
The daily Haunted Hangar Storytelling Tour unspools entertaining yarns that are a little eerie and also quite inspiring: Lindbergh's companion spirits, the ghost of the Red Baron, "The Lady be Good," and the dreaded "Dead Stick Landing!"
This special tour is offered daily throughout the month of October.
