Middle School Latin
By Cole Dalton and Cooper McKillop
On March 1st the middle school Latin class read books to Weekday School pre-schoolers. The Latin students first selected a "Biscuit" book, and then they translated it with a partner into Latin. The next day they suited up in Roman togas and visited with the Weekday School 4-day-4s classes and read their books to them, 1st in Latin, then in English. The pre-schoolers listened intently to this new and fascinating language. Afterwards they asked questions such as, "Is it easy to learn the language?" and "Do you have a lot of homework?" Some groups stayed around to help out or play with the children. The Latin students had a great time and hope to do it again!

Morning Carpool
Your child(ren)'s safety on our campus is of the highest importance to us. At this time in the school year, we believe a few reminders might be helpful.
The morning arrival of children is a complex process for the school. We have staff and church security stationed in specific areas for safety and security reasons. While we continue to enjoy a safe and secure campus, we thank you for partnering with us to ensure the well being of all students.
Please refrain from the following unsafe practices:
a) Dropping off children to walk in by themselves when there is not a direct line of sight with staff or security personnel.
b) Stopping on Church Street to let children out without parking in a parking space. Dropping off in the street jeopardizes your children's safety, the safety of others around you and blocks the safe flow of traffic.
c) Parking in undesignated parking areas on Church Street in a manner that interferes with our carpool exit. The green barricades have been placed to block cars from entering the areas next to the carpool exit. If a car pulls into this area it prevents safe exit of cars from the Angel Wing onto Church St. These are not parking spaces.
