TCS Family,
The Christ School office was full of activity the past two evenings as several TCS moms and dads were busy calling fellow TCS families to request their support of the 2011-12 Annual Fund. Thank you to those of you who answered the calls and responded to the invitation to join 100% of our faculty, staff and trustees, who have committed to participating in this year's Annual Fund. For those of you still considering a contribution, please join us as we stand strong together to provide TCS with the support to continue delivering our mission with excellence. If you have any questions about the 2011-12 Annual Fund, please contact me and I will be happy to visit with you . Thank you for your trust and confidence.

Author Speaks to 7th Grade Language Arts Class Author and pastor Jeff Dixon spoke to the seventh grade (3rd period) language arts class about his book The Key to the Kingdom. After reading his book, middle school student, Sarah Berger, called and asked if she might interview him as part of her book project. He consented to the interview, and in addition, graciously agreed to come to the class to discuss not only his book but also his writing process. Students learned about what inspired him to write his book, his writing techniques, and the steps to final publication. Thank you Mr. Dixon! |

The Middle School Latin students, dressed in their new togas, "treated" the TCS administrative staff with candy and apples. After a busy week in class, they once again donned their togas to serenade Dr. Powell - in Latin [Laetus natalis dies!] - on his birthday. They also presented him with a special card. The students look forward to more toga days!

Mark 10:45
November brings many opportunities for TCS families to serve in our community. Listed below are 2 organizations that depend on volunteer support. Please prayerfully consider the valuable donation of your time to one or both of these organizations. Serving is a great way to kick off the holidays in the spirit of Mark 10:45, enjoy family fellowship, teach you children the blessing of giving and, for our middle school students, earn community services hours.
Ivanhoe Village Jingle Eve
November 12, 17 and 18
