TCS Family,
Thank you for your attention to our improved re-enrollment process. The re-enrollment deadline was yesterday and the strong affirmation of a rock solid re-enrollment brings great excitement as we look to next year. We still have four great months to enjoy the 2010 -11 school year and now we can focus our attention on a strong finish to this year and completing clear and exciting plans for next year. I look forward to sharing many of our plans as we finalize them in the coming months. Thank you for your trust and confidence in The Christ School to serve your family. As independent schools across the nation complete their annual re-enrollment process, The Christ School has been chosen to participate in a national study. You and all our current families, and families from private schools across the country, are being asked to participate in a very brief national research survey being conducted by Independent School Management (ISM), the largest private school consulting firm in the U.S. The survey data will enable ISM to project trends that will aid us in our long-range planning. ISM has 25 years of experience surveying school constituencies, and absolutely guarantees the anonymity of your responses. The participating schools will be provided with summary data only. The online survey should take you no more than 5 minutes to complete. When you are ready to begin, simply click this link: http://surveys.isminc.com/surveys/ParentReenrollment2011/ Thank you in advance for your thoughtful participation. Here are a few additional announcements:

Third Grade Students Show Love Through Service
Mrs. Bosscher's third grade students put love into action on Valentine's Day by decorating canned goods - soup, peanut butter and tuna - for the Greater Orlando Food Outreach on Michigan Street. They prayed for the people that would receive the food and asked God to bless those who were in need. Then they added scripture verses and Valentine stickers to the cans and jars and Mrs. Cook and Owen delivered the food to the organization. Jesus said, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.' Matthew 25:39-4.

First Annual Seventh Grade Medieval Feast
Seventh Grade students capped off their Medieval Literature unit with a marvelous Medieval Feast. Students dined on elk steak, venison stew, cheese, fruit, pork roast, tarts, pies, and other tasty delicacies. Additional activities in this unit included reading stories and plays, singing ballads, and producing research papers.
Seventh graders discovered incredible heroes like Beowulf, Charlemagne, Roland, King Arthur, and Robin Hood.

Health Reminders
- If your child has a fever, please keep him/her home. Please do not give them a fever reducer medication (Ibuprofen) and send them to school. You are just masking the illness and then spreading it to our friends at school.
- If your child has had a fever, please wait 24 hours before returning him/her back to school. This means, no fever without any medication to bring it down for at least 24 hours.
- If your child has had diarrhea and/or vomiting, please do not bring them back to school until 24 hours after the last episode.
- Please remind your child to wash his/her hands thoroughly. I always tell them to wash their hands with soap and to keep their hands out of the water while rubbing them together, singing "Happy Birthday" two times.
- Please remind your child to cover his/her mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing if possible; as an alternative, encourage him/her to cough and sneeze into his/her upper sleeve, not their hands.
Thank you for your help in keeping our students well.
