February 28 through March 1st - FCAT writing exams will be taking place for 10th grade.
February 28, 2012 - Mu Alpha Theta is doing a school night at Firehouse Subs on 210 on Feb 28 from 5-8pm with 10% proceeds going to the club. You must present this flyer for the club to receive credit.
March 2, 2012 - DEADLINE for Juniors - The Spring SAT Prep Class will be held at Nease HS from March 13-April 19. Click here for the registration form. Deadline is March 2nd, and seats are limited.
March 8, 2012 - Meet in the conference room at 9:00am to participate in putting together the Staff Appreciation Week events. For anyone not able to attend the meeting but still interested in helping out please contact Theresa Collary at terpsone@aol.com.
April 13, 2012 - NEW THIS YEAR! Nease Campus Beauty Pageant With Ms. Nease on Friday April 13th. Campus Beauty is an Evening Gown Competition with a Campus Beauty Crowned from the Freshman Class, Sophomore Class, & Senior Class. Please Pick Up Information and Application from Ms. Huffman in F103 or Mrs. Pickard in B 105

Congratulations!!!!! to Instructor Daryl Cullipher, students - Abby Burns, Esther Pielstick, Riley O'Neal - instructors, Katie Maltby, Wes Miska.  We are proud to recognize our eight National Merit Semifinalists for 2012: Marissa A. Galiley, Anthony J. Janocko, Tia A. Lewis, Carson L. Ridenhour, Steven L. Schwartz, Wenli Shao, Dhiraj Sikaria and Logan H. Stern. These students scored in the top 1% of all high school students in the nation! We are also proud to announce that Katie Jackson and Ayana Gibson have been named semifinalists in the National Achievement Scholarship Program!!! Seniors, did you know that this is the prime time to apply for scholarships? Over twenty scholarships have deadlines in February and March, including many local opportunities. Check the Nease High School website for a list of scholarships, or stop by guidance to check the scholarship board. This is updated regularly! Need Assessment Survey - Please take time to fill out the Need Assessment Survey coming to the Nease Website, your feedback is most helpful in planning for the next school year. This survey helps the school address the needs and concerns of the students, faculty and parents. Apple Discount: Apple has authorized a special online store where the parents of Nease students are entitled to the same education discount that is always available to district administrators and faculty. Bright Futures Scholarship Program Changes:
2011-12 Awardees
- Students are now required to submit a complete, error-free FAFSA for Bright Futures, Florida Resident Access Grant, and Access to Better Learning and Education Grant initial and renewal eligibility any time prior to disbursement. No FAFSA = No $
2011-2012 High School Graduates
- Increase in community service requirement (and hours increase for Florida Academic Scholars) for all three Bright Futures award levels. Bright Futures Florida Academic Scholars (FAS), Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS), and Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars (GSV) during the 2011-12 academic year, and thereafter, must complete:
- FAS - 100 hours
- FMS - 75 hours
- GSV - 30 hours
- The Florida Department of Education is required to approve home education community service hours for Bright Futures initial eligibility.
- A pilot program was created at the University of Florida to provide for a Bright futures cohort of initial students whose program funding will be limited to spring and summer on-campus classes beginning with the 2012-13 academic year.

St. Johns Learning Center is located in Bartram Executive Park and offers SAT/ACT preparation, study skills, subject tutoring, and organizational strategies.
Tutoring Club offers individual programs for Reading, Math, Writing, Study Skills, and SAT/ACT Preparation.
