April, 2011
Greetings!

Welcome to the May 2011 issue of Freeman's E-Newsletter. This is a shortened issue dedicated to our recent acquisition. Full newsletter issues will resume next month.

Freeman & Kindt-Collins...united after 97 years

kindt catalogEarlier this month, Freeman announced the acquisition of many of the product lines from the old Kindt-Collins company. Although Paramelt Argueso had acquired Kindt-Collins last December (which was then renamed Paramelt Arqueso Kindt), they did so for the purpose of acquiring and integrating its key investment casting wax business. Freeman has not been involved in manufacturing investment casting waxes since 1982 (and will remain that way), but we were very interested in acquiring the other parts of Kindt-Collins that weren't a proper fit for Paramelt Argueso, such as:
  • Pattern supplies (an industry that both Freeman and Kindt have been very active since the early 1900s)
  • Tooling Plastics (including Dynacast, Master Cast, and other highly respected products)
  • Specialty Waxes (including sheet waxes, Machinable waxes, Jewelry waxes, and more)

So what does this acquisition mean? Well, as you can imagine, these projects are never easy, but here is where we stand today...

The transfer of manufacturing is complete. Freeman is now producing all of the old Kindt-Collin's wax products in our Avon, OH facility.

Kindt's Ontario warehouse (known as C&B Warehouse) and their California warehouse (known as Pattern Supply) have shut down. Their Cleveland, OH facility (the former Kindt-Collins) remains open but is only servicing their (non-jewelry) investment casting wax customers. The inventory from all three warehouses has already begun transferring to our existing Freeman warehouses.

The transfer of customer service and ordering is complete. Any customer calling any of Kindt's facilities looking for the products that we have acquired will be forwarded to Freeman's customer service. Please be patient as our customer service personnel are having a crash course in all of the new products.

Soon all of our products will be fully integrated with Freeman Supply web updates, a new Freeman Wax website, and more. In the meantime, you'll see that several of our new product pages are up, but the ability to perform online quotes is not yet ready. That will occur over time and we hope to have it completed by the end of June.

Everyone at Freeman is very excited about this opportunity to grow our company and integrate the best of both companies to better serve the world with our quality waxes and plastics.
