A Message from Bobbie:
Greetings from the Reef where business is definitely picking up! It's time to get out of that weather, don't you think? Our annual fishing tournament began yesterday and the Reef is teeming with anglers. Many are looking at property due to 1) the lowest prices in 10 years and 2) stock market is looking good and 3) Fed says rates are to stay low.
We've seen a bit of uptick in our market and after the long drought, I believe we are on the road to recovery. Currently Waterfront Fine Homes has some nice statistics that should boost sales this next month. We have:
~The lowest priced one bedroom
~The lowest priced one bedroom with dockage
~The lowest priced bottom floor two bedroom
~The lowest priced bottom floor two bedroom with 40' of dockage
~The lowest priced home with pool AND garage.
~The 2 lowest priced three bedroom condos
~The lowest priced condo in the most recently renovated group of Angelfish
~The lowest priced two story spec home still under warranty
~The lowest priced slip in the OR Marina
On the subject of the Marina, two of our piers are being rebuilt as floating piers this summer. The look is clean, simple and modern. It is likely that the other piers will follow suit next summer but that is to be determined.
Some other big news about dockage in our community is that the Cay Harbor condominiums, located near the Marina, have expanded their allowable limit on vessels to 40 feet. This is a huge factor in property valuation and should please our boat-loving community. Boat owners with lengths between 37 and 40 feet were previously limited in their choices of neighborhoods.
Now that the season is in full swing, I'll keep you updated as more property sells. The Club looks fabulous and we are in a location on earth like no other. Keep the faith!
