Welcome to March!
Even though daffodils started poking up in February this year, to many, one of the first signs of spring in Newport is the St. Patrick's Day Parade . The 56th Annual march will take to the streets on Saturday 3/17, (rain or shine) starting from City Hall at 11am. For a family-friendly (non-alcoholic) post-parade event, there is the 6th Annual St. Patrick's Day Family Celebration at the "Hut" on Golden Hill Street from 1pm-4pm featuring bagpipers, step dancers, giveaways, free admission and a "How Green Am I? contest,

The 11th Annual Kinsale Festival of Fine Food takes place in Newport from 3/8 - 3/11 followed at month's end by Newport Restaurant Week from 3/23-4/1, two great opportunities to try something new.
