| The Pitcher of Health & Well-Being |
| Dear Friends,
The holidays are upon us and the end of the year is rapidly approaching. As we once again reflect upon our year, we are so grateful for the friendships we have developed and the ever-growing sense of community that is the foundation of our mission. Many of you have shared how much you enjoy coming into the shop simply for the calming effects of the music and aroma, and we are so happy that we can provide just such a peaceful, nourishing environment. We thank you for your support and continue to look for ways in which we can better serve your individual needs.
This year, we have had a number of private and open special events (beautifully organized by Denise) that have been so well received that we look forward to more in the new year. Most recently, we had a Women's Wellness Night in which a number of local practitioners volunteered their time to provide information and demonstrations of local services available. We also had an R & R day, in which we offered free pampering through foot and hand treatments, mini-facials and make-overs with natural, chemical-free products as well as chair massages, and energy readings. Appointments filled up so quickly that we are planning a similar event, so everyone can be pampered! Once we have our next date, those on our waiting list will be called first.
Upcoming Events:
- Friends & Family Night: Thursday, December 17th, from 6:30 - 8:30. Stop by to say hello and share a little holiday cheer. Rest and relax, browse through our lending library, enjoy the music, aroma therapy and refreshments. Shop if you wish with 20% Off your entire purchase (excluding sale items and jewelry).
- We are very excited to announce that Ali, a licensed esthetician, will be joining us on a regular basis to provide facials, mini-facials, cosmetic make-overs and applications, facial consultations and analysis. Appointments are necessary. Call us for costs and details at 218-0580. Her first day of appointments is scheduled for January 30th.
- For the new year, Jean and Julie will continue to provide their services for which we are grateful. Jean provides the energy work that has been so moving and beneficial, while Julie provides the Compass Assessments (assessing bio-markers in order to determine nutritional needs for balance) and Detox Foot Baths. Watch future e-mails for up-coming dates.
- February is Customer Appreciation Month, and we will be celebrating our 3rd anniversary. Watch future e-mails for details, specials, and events!
Be sure to take the time to stop by during the holidays to check out all of the new gifts we have to inspire friends and family as well as for products to support wellness. Enjoy your holidays, and we hope to see you before the end of the year!
Love,

Join Our Holiday Community Project
For every bath & body purchase you make during the month of December, we will donate a bar of soap to "Sample Soaps", an organization that collects toiletries and disperses them between 25 different non-profit organizations to help those in need. Feel free to make your own donation as well. Additional items are welcome whether purchased in our shop or not. Here are a few ways in which you can save and donate at the same time:
- Bring in an item to donate and receive 5% off your entire purchase.
- Purchase an item in our store to donate and receive 15% off your entire purchase.
- Buy one, get one 1/2 off to donate.
Suggested donation items: soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, make-up, skin care, lotions, etc. |
| Boost Your Energy
Lack of energy is a common concern for many, particularly around the holidays. You can increase your energy by reducing stress, increasing sleep and exercise, and avoiding large, heavy meals. In addition, most Americans are chronically dehydrated, which adversely effects your energy levels. Increase your water intake. Avoid stimulants (synthetic or natural), which only provide short term bursts of energy and can actually contribute to fatigue. Consider options that boost, nourish and strengthen, such as:
- A high potency, daily multi-vitamin and mineral supplement
- Vitamin C; magnesium; and B Complex (key players in energy production)
- Bee pollen and/or royal jelly (not with blood thinners or allergies)
- D-Ribose, a natural energizer (maybe particularly helpful for chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, and heart disease)
- Rhodiola, relieves stress and increases energy
- Amino Acid L-Carnitine, particularly for mental energy
- Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), enhances cellular energy
- Schisandra, helps reduce fatigue
- Ginkgo, increases blood flow and boosts mental alertness
- Cell Power, increases energy and supports immune system
- Trace Minerals, increases energy as catalyst for nutrients
- Holy Basil, increases endurance and reduces stress
Craving afternoon naps? One source suggested a combination of L-carnitine (500 mg) and CoQ10 (30 mg) with a full glass of water and a high energy snack. |
