Hop into spring with the second annual Whoop Dee Doo in Riverview. Sponsored by The Shops at Riverview, Whoop Dee Doo is a three-day event, slated for April 2 - April 4, featuring food, fun, music, fabulous give-a-ways and special savings at all participating merchants in the Riverview area.
A percentage of all proceeds will benefit the Northside Neighborhood House, an 85 year old service organization, which provides assistance to families and individuals in need living north of the river, as well as educational programs.
Festivities will begin on Thursday night, April 2, with a preview party from 5-8 PM. Food and light refreshments will be provided, as well as the opportunity to sign up for drawings, gifts and prizes, including a $500 gift certificate from Susanna's.
Among those participating with special events include Vine Street Market, celebrating their thirtieth anniversary, complete with live music on Thursday evening. Cynthia Howell Stationery & Gifts will celebrate their Grand Re-Opening, under the new ownership of local sisters, Missy Elliot and Shelley Meredith.
Spring parties abound throughout the weekend with an "Egg" Strodinary Birthday party at Lula's featuring Cotton Candy Cosmos. Charlotte's Web will host "Pink Elephant Martinis and Monograms" to introduce their new Lilly Pulitzer Collection. "Pick an Egg" for a discount at Bellies & Babies and Lambs & Ivy, or "Pick a Flower" at The Grape Basket and Susanna's.
"Hats off to Riverview" at the Clay Pot. Receive a unique "Easter Bonnet," compliments of The Clay Pot from party hat designer Jennie Hart Robinson. Each hat is a one-of-a-kind creation, festooned with feathers & flora, sparkle & spangle, tassels & tid-bits. Come watch the artist as she creates many crowns of glory!
Encore Consignment Boutique will feature a "Walk in My Shoes and Wine Party" on Thursday night. Customers who bring in a pair of "gently-worn" or new walking or running shoes, which will be donated to the Northside Neighborhood House, will be given an extra 10% discount, in addition to store-wide discounts and a drawing for a $100 gift card.
