Sometimes I revel in the status of mid-life, proudly claiming every one of my hard earned gray hairs. Sometimes I writhes with the effort, wilting as my wildly erractic internal thermostat offers a person summer.

As I watch my teenage son navigate life's lessons, I am so very proud of him and at the same time cowed by the expectations of maturity and grace that are impossible to have mastered in one's teens. Likewise I see my daughter claim adulthood with gusto and I smile, but give thanks that the walls she is now scaling are in my rearview mirror. I am grateful, truly, to be at this place in my life, but some questions dog my flagging energy.

Special Offering for November: EUCC!

During November please consider making a Giving Thanks gift to the faith community at Lockwood Avenue. You will assist us extend the message of God's inclusive love. As we celebrate Thanksgiving, the Governing Body asks you to be mindful of the faith community that nurtures the values we treasure. Thanksgiving Offerings for the Other Evangelical (EUCC) will be received throughout the month of November.
