Artist of the Month:
Michaela Louise
I am an artist with a variety of medium interests, but my passion is broken glass. I started breaking mirrors a few years ago, but only recently gained a passion for making images out of it.
I create mixed media collages using up cycled antique mirrors, stained glass, sea glass, river stones, and crystals. I currently have a concentration in underwater scenes, but I am more then happy to accommodate personal needs. I create my work to suit a variety of tastes. I am happy to accommodate any personal requests, or to help memorialized personal events.

Photoshop Tip
Using the Dodge Tool
The Dodge tool is great when you have a photo that may be exposed well in one part of the picture but is a little too dark in another area. In the photo below the bridge is well exposed but the buildings are a little dark.
1) Select the dodge tool in the tool panel. The Dodge tool is also grouped with the Burn tool and the Sponge tool.

2) Once the dodge tool is selected at the top of the screen there will be a few options. Make sure the range is set to "Midtones." The exposure is up to you. Start off low and build up. The more you go over an area the more exposed that area will be.
3) Now you are ready to go over the areas that need to be exposed.
