Artist of the Month:

Nancy Bryant

 Birdhouse

Yes, I am the artist of the Month for February 2011. I have been building a website for my own work and want to show it off. This site is still a work in progress and I would appreciate feedback.

I have been an artist for most of my life. My most recent work has been focusing on ultra realism on a large scale.  In order for an image to maintain its integrity and beauty on a large scale, it must be shot in sections. Additionally I am striving to recreate, not what the camera saw, but what I saw. The human eye is capable of seeing far more range of color and depth of field than any camera. In my work I am attempting to emulate the scene as I saw it. Many of my finished pieces are wall sized murals.

Using the Elliptical  Marquee tool!

Here is a fun way to be creative using the elliptical marquee tool.

1) Get a new layer by clicking the Create a new layer button at the bottom of the layers panel

layer button

2) Press the letter "g"  to select the  paint bucket tool  which is also located in the tools panel. Click the image window. That should fill in the layer with what ever the front color is in the color swatch in the tools panel.

3) Now click to select the photograph layer in your layers panel.

4) Click the elliptical marquee tool in the top left of the tools panel. It will be under the rectangular marquee tool. To get to all the marquee tools just hold down the marquee tool button in the tools panel.

(price includes training on how to use the site, upload images and content). For an additional fee we will create a Fan Page for Facebook connected to your site.
