PC/Laptop Backup and Recovery
By: Josh Krueger |
|
It is not uncommon for an organization to have valuable data scattered around the world on traveling laptops or to have critical business functions operating on desktop PC's. Often times, there are business requirements that necessitate this, but some risks result. Integrity's Managed PC and Laptop Backup solution provides a way to reduce this risk.
Risks associated with roaming laptop data
-
Disgruntled employee deletes critical customer information from the laptop before quitting
-
Star employee saves critical customer data or presentation on laptop but laptop crashes
-
Employee installs software or malware that makes laptop unusable and employee unproductive
-
Unsecure storage of data backed up on CD's, USB drives, and flash drives can result in data breach
-
Critical information is often not backed up reliably or frequently by individual employees
-
Test restores of data are rarely performed

Getting RemoteFix Assistance is Even Easier & Faster! |
|
The Integrity team is always thinking about ways we can make things more efficient and easier for our clients. We are happy to say that all of our thinking has paid off and getting help from RemoteFix just got easier and faster.
The implementation of our RemoteFix Client Web Portal was a huge hit with our clients and is still a great resource for our clients to review past issues that we have worked on but we wanted a way for clients to communicate with us quickly and without having to remember their password for the online Client Web Portal.
We now have RemoteFix email capabilities. This new feature will allow you to:
-
Email RemoteFix directly. This will allow you to document the issue in your own words, save you time on the phone and get your issue to our RemoteFix engineers immediately, during business hours
-
Reply to us directly from your email enabled mobile phone while on the go
-
Receive instant updates from RemoteFix which will let you know when our engineer has started working on the issue, completed the work, escalated the issue or if they need additional information from you to resolve the request
-
Provide instant feedback directly to our engineer by replying to any status update email. Email responses are added directly to the ticket information and our Engineers are immediately notified to look at the new information from you
We are excited to be able to offer this convenient way for our clients to communicate with RemoteFix. The ulitmate result of this new feature is faster problem resolution. For many clients, emailing a question to RemoteFix is faster and more accurate for them, it also provides Integrity with all of the details and allows us to resolve the problem more quickly.
With three options to report a technical problem to RemoteFix, we're sure you will find one that works best for you.

| 8 Signs You Need to Upgrade Your Server |
| Reprinted with permission from the
Microsoft Small Business Center By: Christopher Elliott
Your server hardware is a ticking time bomb.
Don't be alarmed. It may never actually "blow up" - which is to say, melt down and take lots of data with it. But one day, sooner or later, it will become obsolete. And for your business, that's potentially an explosive liability.
"The older hardware is, the more likely that a failure and loss of productivity will occur," warns Donald Hess, senior systems engineer at Entre Computer Services, a systems integrator based in Rochester, N.Y. "In general, a company can avoid big expenses by updating its servers every three years. If it waits five years, then there's a big risk of being compelled to upgrade many components simultaneously." Ouch.
What exactly needs upgrading?
Most small businesses tend to think of their server as a whole, which is to say hardware (the computer it runs on) and software (the application that powers the server, such as Windows Small Business Server) are one.
Talk to experts and you're likely to conclude that this holistic approach to a server is correct for most businesses. Hardware and software generally age at about the same rate. In other words, the machines need to be modernized at roughly the same interval as the server operating system is updated, give or take a few months.
So is your server ready for a once-over? Click here for information on the eight signs. |
