Dear BECA Amigo,
October has arrived and with it comes major decisions for our family BECA.org Nicargua.
But first let's congratulate the 17 young people for successfully completing the six month screening course: Course One BECA.org. Now they can begin to prepare to choose the technical career that they will pursue in 2013.
In early October of each year we plan a retreat where our team contemplates changes to the program for the coming year.
Among the most important decisions will be: - Adjusting the foundation mission from "transforming lives" to "offering opportunities."
- Considering ending the weekly blog requirement
- Allowing University scholarships
- Considering ending the community service component
From my point of view these decisions should be made by the BECA team members who themselves are graduates of the program. I am confident that these graduates can lead the foundation on the right track. And you, my dear friend, what do you think? Sincerely,
