October Update

October was a good month for BECA.
Translation: in October, no students deserted their technical career studies. (In January, 43 students began their courses and 38 -- or about 88% -- are still hanging in there.)
Because the BECA program is only two years old, the desertion rate remains our best indicator of success.
Ultimately, I look forward to displacing this indicator with the employment rate of BECA scholarship recipients.
Well, I guess I'm not looking forward to it because I'm not sure how many of the students are going to bust their butts to find a job when their studies end.
Case in point. Seven students graduated in late summer. And all seven are still looking. (And in some cases I use the word "looking" generously).
The tweaking shall continue.
