Dear ,

We received the following question in an e-mail the other day:

Why in the world are you people putting
students on the website now when they
don't even start until 2011?

It's a fair question. The answer is twofold.

First, we don't want to disappoint new visitors to the website with a message saying something like: "Sorry, but BECA doesn't  have any students to sponsor right now."

Second, posting students early acts as an incentive to the students currently studying. How? BECA scholars compete for the opportunity to be posted first - via social projects, good attendance, and blog writing.

Frank, Urania, Lester, Corina, and Ana have all busted their butts so far this year. They have all earned the right to be the first to be sponsored for 2011.
