April Update

Dear ,

Sometimes students drop out of class.

Why would students quit school if they are receiving a full scholarship to study?

Answer: we really don't know, and it is a source of frustration for BECA.

Nevertheless, we accept that our students' lives here in Nicaragua aren't always easy. If a student decides that a health issue or a family issue or an economic issue is more important, we accept it.

For that reason, BECA has an arrangement with partner schools: If a student drops out, we replace that student "without penalty" in the next round of "BECA Course One.""

Therefore, those of you who have sponsored students only to see them quit need not worry.

You will be receiving another student in the next round, which starts in May.

Sincerely,
