15 Minute Marketing: 3 More Quick Tips
If you've been reading our e-tips for a while, you've picked up a few ideas for marketing on -the run. And you know that consistency, not time spent, is the key. In fact, if you just carve out 15 minutes a day, you'll be amazed at the results.
First thing in the morning works well, before you get started on the million tasks that make up your day. So get yourself a cup of coffee and get going:
1. Get more mileage from your email signature line- The average person sends and receives from 20-40 e-mails a day. That's 6,000 to 12,000 a year. Think of all the chances to hit a customer when they might be in a frame of mind to buy. Your reminders help you stay in your clients' minds. Simply place a one-sentence marketing message below your signature, title, contact information, website address and blog URL. Make it about a special sale or promotion, some news about your business, a new product or service. Change it from time to time to keep it fresh.
2. Include calls to action with invoices- You are sending out invoices anyway. Why not include a marketing message to the very people who are already buying from you? Each time you send one out, you have another opportunity to promote your products or services. Include a special offer to entice them to buy again. For instance, a graphic designer might include a coupon: "Your next postcard design 20% off if ordered by January 30."
3. Study your competitors' websites- If you do this regularly, you'll know what's up with them, what new things they are offering, how they are packaging their products and services. Are there any design or content improvements you could apply to your own website? Keep a notebook or computer file with observations and ideas for changes that occur to you.
Add these three strategies to your list and improve your marketing in as little as 15 minutes a day. Watch for more ideas in upcoming issues of Marketing Hotspots. |
