Greetings!
PCI Compliance HAS ENDED
on Payment Systems using
Windows 2000 and
XP Pro Service Pack 2
VisaJulyDeadline

If an element of a Payment System, including the Operating System, is not supported by a vendor with Security updates, the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council considers a merchant using an unsupported element no longer compliant with PCI Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS).

MICROSOFT ended Security updates on July 13, 2010 for Windows 2000 and XP Pro Service Pack 2 Operating Systems.

You may no longer be PCI-DSS Compliant!
If your Payment System is running either of these Operating Systems, you should upgrade to the compliant Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3

How can I determine my Operating System?

If you are a Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 user covered by a Support Plan, you can received download assistance to upgrade to Service Pack 3 at NO COST!  Call us today to find out how!

Will I be forced to upgrade?
It is unlikely your Processor will force you to upgrade, unless you change Processors, Banks or Credit Drivers.  However, if you are compromised and found not in compliance with the PCI-DSS, you will be subject to significant fines and penalties, etc.  If you use these Operating Systems, you should upgrade now to avoid this risk

Avoid Risk:  Remain PCI-Compliant to be Secure

As your POS provider, we want to help you avoid this risk by being, and remaining, PCI-Compliant.  Our Security Notices began in 2004 by certified mail, and our website is continually being updated with new information.  Now email alerts have been added to update you on changes as they occur.  For additional PCI information and the many requirements, visit: http://www.dcrs.com/pdf_special.php
