 | Toolbox Meeting Tips
|
When? - Ideally, you want to have a short toolbox safety meeting first thing in the morning on Mondays, assuming your company has Sundays off. I know of companies that get everybody together on Friday afternoons (because they're picking up pay checks). If I am about to get money in my hand on a Friday afternoon after a long hard week of work, the last thing I'm thinking about is safety. And how much of what is said Friday do I remember on Monday. If your employees report to smaller job sites on Monday morning then have smaller safety meetings at the sits on Mondays Where should you have the meetings? How long should meetings be? What do you talk about. Click here to find out. |
 | Senate Bill 425
|
The Texas Legislature passed and Governor Perry signed Senate Bill 425 to become effective January 1, 2012. This law will require all certificate of insurance forms to be filled with and approved by the Texas Department of Insurance before they can be used after the effective date of the law (1-1-2012). In addition, the law codifies current Texas Department of Insurance rules that a certificate of insurance must not obscure or misrepresent the coverage provided by the insurance policies. What does this mean? Click here to find out.
Be sure to print a Meeting Sign-In Sheet from the column to the left!
