              Winterize Your Property
& Safety Program

As we come into the cold and wet season of the year, it reminds us that it is time to get our properties ready for the winter. Luckily we do not have to worry about some of the excessive temperature issues on neighbors in the northern states have to worry about, but we still have our coldest days to worry about. Some of our largest fire concerns are directly related to our heating systems and tenant's attempt to keep warm.

Enclosed is a Winter Weather Checklist that has been provided by Philiadelphia Insurance. We hope this will prove to be very helpful to you during this coming winter.

Below is a list of exposures and coverages that a property manager needs to consider along with some options of how to arrange these.

Insurance for Property Managers

Writing insurance for property managers has always been a big part of the business at Ramey King Insurance. We welcome the opportunity to visit with all managers of all types of property from apartments, single family and commercial. Many managers rely on the insurance provided by their property owners to insure Management Company. There is some overlap and some coverage provided but it may not be enough in all situations. We suggest that all managers arrange their own insurance or at least look at the specific options for their company.
