The EPA's Stop Order
Dressing for the Job
Stop Sale, Use or Removal Order
The EPA has issued a "stop sale, use or removal order" to DuPont for its herbicide, Imprelis, which has been the center of controversy surrounding the deaths of trees adjacent to areas it was applied to for weed control. DuPont has taken a proactive step by voluntarily suspending sales of Imprelis and will soon be conducting a product return and refund program.

Dressing for the Job
Protective Gear
This is the time of the year when the weather is changing daily, if not more.  Now is a good time to remind your crews of dressing for the weather, but more importantly to remind them of the dressing to protect themselvse:
  • Wear Work Boots that are in good condition
  • Long sleave shirts protect against the weather and debris
  • Gloves - everyone should be wearing them
  • Jewelry should not be worn
  • Always wear Eye and Hearing Protection
Wearing the proper clothing and personal protective equipment in the working environment is critical. Appropriate clothing is your first and often only line of defense against many safety and health hazards. Click here to learn more.

Be sure to print a Meeting Sign-In Sheet from the column to the left!

Certificate Changes Coming

There are some major changes coming January 1, 2012 that will affect the Certificate of Insurance that we all
Certificate of Insurance use. Senate Bill 425 becomes Law on January 1 and in this Bill, we as agents will be much more restricted in the wording we can add to these certificates. I want to give everyone a "heads-up" as we anticipate there will be some confusion as this change takes place. I will be providing more information on this in the next few weeks to help make the transition to this new law less painful. If you have any questions, please contact us.
