Greetings,
Seeing the dew on my truck made me think of this topic today. Over the next few months, with the cool weather, everything is covered in dew. This is something that I think get's taken for granted, but a a twisted knee or hurt back from slipping into or out of truck, falling off a slick trailer or ZTR, or sliding a piece of equipment down dew covered grass can result in a big insurance claim. Remind your guys to be careful and aware of the conditions they are working in.
Over the next few months we will start talking about Safety Programs, Loss Control, Checklist and new procedures that you can put in place during the "slow" time of the year.

As always, feel free to email or give me a call if there is anything I can do to help out.

The old saying about taking care of the little things and the big things will take care of themselves probably applies more to safety in construction than in any other occupation.
There are dozens of things that many of us do, any number of times each day without thought. Because they are done without thought, they are often done improperly. How does this apply to things like getting off equipment, trucks, tractors, cranes etc. Click here to find out. (The article is in English and Spanish)
