Gain More Light and Space with a Bump-Out
If you like the basic overall structure of your home, but find it feels smaller and darker than you would like, consider talking to Gridley about a bump-out addition for your home:
Bay Windows: A bay window is a relatively easy addition to any home. Whether you’d like a more welcoming eating area in the kitchen or want to expand the feel of your living room, a new bay window will let in more natural light and instantly transform your space.
Window Seats: If you enjoy curling up with a good book or the newspaper on a rainy day, then you’d probably appreciate having a cozy window seat. A window seat with a lift-up bench can also serve as a great additional storage area.
Bathroom Bump-Outs: If you are still taking baths in a cramped, old-style tub, maybe it’s time to consider bumping out your bathroom to fit in a new whirlpool tub or large shower. We can add windows at the same time to bring in more natural light.
Kitchen Bump-Outs: If meal time feels like a tight fit, a bump-out will give you the extra space you need for a larger table or eating area. We could also give you the room for extra cabinets or much-needed counter space.
Bump-Out Storage: Bump-outs can be an easy way to add much needed storage areas throughout your home. Add an extra closet in a bedroom, add shelving in your library or play room, or put in a kitchen pantry.
Remember, a bump-out still needs to look like a natural extension of your home. And since Gridley Company uses the Design/Build process, we are experts at handling everything from initial design through construction. This means your new space is guaranteed to look like it’s always been a beautiful part of your home.
So if you’re ready to make your home feel brighter, lighter, and more spacious, call Gridley at (408) 374-0900 or go to our website to find out how we can increase your enjoyment of your home.

Home Maintenance Tip:
Dryer Safety
Inspecting your dryer vents can help prevent accidental deaths and injuries due to fire and carbon monoxide poisoning. So take a moment this month to clean your dryer vent and exhaust duct. Also check the outside dryer vent while the dryer is operating to make sure exhaust air is escaping. If it is not, the vent or the exhaust duct may be blocked.
