Dear Friend for Life,
As
January approaches, we again solemnly commemorate the tragic anniversary of Roe
v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision that created abortion on demand for any reason, for
all nine months of pregnancy.
After this grueling election cycle, one thing is clear: The
culture of life will not be built from the top down.
The pro-life movement has
always been fueled by the grassroots. What exactly does that mean? Simply, it
is you. Each of you. We all hope for a day when abortion is banned nation-wide,
but until that dream is realized, each of us must do our part to change hearts
and minds, one by one. Our goal is simple, to educate and empower all Nevadans
so that lives - whether pre-born babies, the marginalized, or the elderly -
are protected, valued and welcomed.
Sincerely,
Melissa Clement

January 16, 2009 Silver Legacy, Silver Baron A Cocktails 6:00pm Dinner 7:00pm Tickets $75/person, $500/table
This
year, when we gather for the 3rd Annual Friends for Life Dinner, we
again return to our roots. This year's honorees, Winnie Cavillia, Mary O'Gara
and Terry Ricciardi, embody the spirit
of the pro-life movement. Fueled by a
sense of hope and love for others and a sincere dedication to the unborn, these ladies have worked tirelessly for decades. They
represent so many of our volunteers. Also, I am very pleased to announce we
will be honoring Congresswoman Barbara Vucanovich with the Voice for Life
Award. As our representative in Washington, Congresswoman Vucanovich was a
tireless advocate for the unborn. I hope you will join us on January 16, 2009,
at the Silver Legacy to celebrate, rejuvenate and motivate for the year ahead. For more information about this event, please call Maureen Klippenstein at 826-2782.

Reno Gazette-Journal Signature As

Add your name now! January 22, 2009
2009 looks to be challenging on the political front. Our efforts must be focused on education, outreach and
communication. One way we do this is through our annual Reno Gazette Journal
signature ad. This year's ad will focus on FOCA and that message that women deserve better than abortion. Please add your name to this
effort and help inform Nevadans about the radical pro-abortion agenda advocated
by many of those who serve us in Washington. For a draft of the ad and the ad release form, click on this LINK.
