The picture to your right is the new UK cover for
The Crying Tree, and is now among eight featured titles for Richard and Judy's newest book club.
UK celebrities, Richard and Judy, have been on a hiatus from their book club for more than a year, but they are back and have teamed up with bookseller WH Smith to get their eight picks in the hands of as many readers as possible.
The Richard and Judy Book Club is considered the Oprah equivalent in the UK, and has boosted overall reading and interest in books across the country.
I am thrilled to be part of this exciting launch, particularly to be
the only US author in this new line up. I am also thrilled with the conversations I have had with Richard and Judy and others who are keen to have more people read and talk about the issues in all eight titles.
You can see a GREAT one minute video of the
launch which occurred at Kings Cross in London.
I have also prepared a new
web page dedicated to book clubs. It contains my readers guide questions, photos of several of my events, and news articles about book groups.
The eight titles are: Sister by Rosamund Lupton, A Place of Secrets by Rachel Hore, The Snowman by Jo Nesbo, The Wilding by Maria McCann, No and Me by Delpine de Vigan, Waiting for Columbus by Thomas Trofimuk, The Crying Tree by Naseem Rakha, and Operation Mincemeat by Ben MacIntyre.
