WOW! What a show ANA was! I hardly ever got away from the table, we were so busy. The bourse floor in Chicago's suburb of Rosemont was the largest in history, and was packed with dealers and collectors. We had done only two shows in the Midwest and we were happy to meet so many current customers in person, as well as quite a few new customers! We sold some great coins, and we bought a lot of great coins too. In fact, one of my table assistants said that half of the fun of being my table assistant is seeing the coins people bring up to the table. Were very happy with the coins we acquired, which included TEN coins from the fabulous Dick Osburn Collection of Seated Half Dollars (incl. an 1873 Open 3 in MS-60). We also acquired ten Seated quarters from a gentleman who had owned them for 40 years, fifteen Seated halves from a near-complete collection we bought, a PCGS-graded example of the 1800 LM-2 half dime (a variety with only 6 coins known), some of our favorite dates of dimes incl. an EF 1846 and a G-6 1873-CC, an 1806 B-8 quarter (an R-6 variety), an 1840-O With Drapery Large O quarter in PCGS VF-35, two 1866 business strikes and a gem uncirculated 1886 business strike quarter, some R4 and R5 Bust halves, and a nice 1871-CC dollar. ANA is always a great show, and we recommend it highly. Next year's show is in Philadelphia, and for 2013 thru 2015 we are back in Chicago (Rosemont).
