Greetings!

This newsletter is focusing on a session I'm offering next month entitled, "Professional Courtesy Inside and Outside of the Cubicle."  Tensions are at an all time high and morale is at an all time low! With tightening budgets, no promises of raises, and the fear of  furloughs and other cutbacks, manners, etiquette, and professional courtesies are more important than ever.  To save money, many organizations are taking away separate offices and putting people into cubicles. But, without certain ground rules, working in closed quarters (especially in highly emotional states) has the potential for conflict.

How Courteous Are Your Co-Workers?

I'd like to get your feedback.  Are common courtesies that common anymore?" Do you get the respect you desire?  Are manners becoming a thing of the past?  Do you have a workplace story that you wouldn't mind sharing?  Please take this short survey on Workplace Etiquette.  Your feedback is valuable and it will only take a few minutes.

  1. Have you ever had your lunch or a co-workers lunch mysteriously disappear from the refrigerator or had to endure strong smelling foods cooked in the microwave?
  2. Have you had someone eavesdrop on a confidential conversation or speak so loudly you couldn't focus?
  3. Have you had to endure someone who came to work without showering, brushing your teeth, or attending to their personal hygiene?
100+ Etiquette Tips for the Workplace
There are some things that just can't be ignored when we are in close quarters if we want a productive and harmonious work environment. Unfortunately most people don't have the luxury of a private office and of having all their co-coworkers be considerate.  Whether its' out of ignorance, social style, or culture, some actions bring productivity to a grinding halt. Click to read over 100 tips for making dealing with Co-Irkers who are not so courteous!

June Health Tip: Gluten
According to Dr. Mark Hyman, "An estimated 99 percent of people who have a problem with eating gluten don't even know it. They ascribe their symptoms to something else--not gluten sensitivity, which is 100 percent curable.  The New England Journal of Medicine listed 55 "diseases" that can be caused by eating gluten.  These include osteoporosis, irritable bowel disease, inflammatory bowel disease, anemia, cancer, fatigue , canker sores, and rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, multiple sclerosis, and almost all other autoimmune diseases."
Prayers Welcome

I'm still awaiting confirmation for a part in a pilot for OWN, on the New Oprah Winfrey Network.  Last update was that we are in a holding pattern.  I guess she's taking a well deserved vacation.
