Speaker Presentation
Ben Evans and Carl Lammers of Greenebaum, Doll & McDonald PLLC will present "Health Care Reform and Benefit Claims: Internal Claims and Appeals and External Review Processes under the Affordable Care Act."
Ben Evans concentrates his practice at Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC in employee benefits law, including qualified retirement plans, employee welfare benefit plans, non-qualified deferred compensation arrangements, COBRA, and ERISA-related litigation. Mr. Evans also provides advice regarding benefits issues in corporate transactions, correcting errors in the administration of employee benefit plans, benefits planning in the context of insolvency, and dividing retirement benefits in divorce.
Mr. Evans received his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2000. He is a member of the Louisville, Kentucky, and American Bar Associations, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He is also a member of the Louisville Deferred Compensation Practitioners and is the incumbent Treasurer for the Louisville Employee Benefits Council. Outside of practice, Mr. Evans has been active in the Knights of Columbus, the Boy Scouts of America, and is a member of the Saint Francis Xavier Society, St. Xavier High School.
Carl Lammers, like Mr. Evans, is a member of the Employee Benefits Team at Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC. He concentrates his practice in employee benefits law, including qualified retirement plans, employee welfare benefit plans, and non-qualified deferred compensation arrangements.
Mr. Lammers received his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, and the Master of Laws in Taxation, with distinction, and the Certificate in Employee Benefits, from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2008. He is admitted to practice both in Florida and Kentucky, and is a member of the Louisville, Kentucky, and American Bar Associations, and is a member of the Louisville Deferred Compensation Practitioners. For the current year he is a member of the Program Committee for the Louisville Employee Benefits Council.

Meeting & Guest Policies
Please remember that the Health & Welfare Plans Sub-Council Members will not need to pay at the door to attend the lunch. Other interested LEBC members who would like to attend the luncheon are asked to pay $40 at the door ($50 for guest) (payable to the Louisville Employee Benefits Council).
Check computerized signs for meeting room location.
Parking vouchers are available at meetings for individuals parking in the Marriott garage. Please note that LEBC does not validate valet parking.

RSVP's and Cancellation Policy Please note that members are asked to confirm their attendance at all meetings. **No-shows are a recurring problem and continue to adversely affect the LEBC's efforts to manage expenses.** The Marriott charges the LEBC for all reservations made and not cancelled by noon on the Friday immediately prior to the Luncheon.
