Continuing Education Credits
 
The LEBC is applying for one hour continuing education credit for eligible presentations with the Kentucky Bar Association, the Joint Board of the Enrollment of Actuaries, the Kentucky State Board of Accountancy, the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries, and the Kentucky Department of Insurance. Forms for qualifying continuing education credits will be available at the registration table.

Speaker Presentation
 

Sherry L. Brackney of Employee Benefits Security Administration will present Part 7 of ERISA.
  
Ms. Brackney joined the Employee Benefits Security Administration, Cincinnati Regional Office of the U.S. Department of Labor in June, 1999 as a Benefits Advisor.  In this capacity, she provides technical information, guidance and assistance in response to written, telephone and walk-in inquiries from plan administrators, participants and beneficiaries, members of Congress, employers, and the general public on the rights and benefits of individuals under Title I of ERISA.

In addition, Ms. Brackney conducts public education outreach programs which focus on pension and health plan related matters.  She is also responsible for developing and maintaining federal, state and local strategic alliances with various institutions and organizations to assist in educating workers in understanding their ERISA rights.
 
Prior to this, Ms. Brackney was a pension consultant for 15 years, administering, implmenting and overseeing the administration of numerous qualified retirement plans.  She completed the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist program and received her designation in 1990. 
 
 
Lunch Menu

The lunch menu will be the All-American Midwest Lunch Buffet which includes the following:
 
Mixed Field Greens with Roasted Corn, Cheddar Cheese, Sliced Black Olives, Croutons, Blue Cheese Dressing and Garlic & Herb Dressing
Rice & Red Bean Salad with Smoked Cheese , Green Onions & Romano Cheese Vinaigrette
Grilled Sausage, Pasta and Roasted Pepper Salad with Sweet Onions and Garlic Basil Emulsion
Mixed Citrus Segment Salad
Sliced Whole Roast New York Strips with Red Wine Demi-Glace and English Cut Fried Onions
Parmesan-Crusted Chicken Breast with Basil and Three Cheese Sauce
Salmon with Oven Dried Tomato and Saffron Lobster Sauce

Meeting & Guest Policies
 
You are invited to attend all LEBC monthly luncheon and presentation meetings as well as LEBC Sub-Council meetings.
 
The monthly luncheon meetings are the second Tuesday of the month and begin at 11:30 a.m. with registration and a time for networking and socializing. Lunch will be served at Noon. Speaker presentations begin at approximately 12:15 p.m. Meetings will conclude no later than 1:30 p.m. 
 
Guests are welcome at our monthly luncheon meetings for a fee of $50. Add your guest information to the RSVP, or notify the Membership Chair:

Sub-Council meetings are the fourth Tuesday of the month and begin at 12 noon. Cost for attending these meetings is $40 for members who did not sign up with their annual dues and $50 for guests.  
 
If you would like to attend a Sub-Council meeting, RSVP through the newsletter and pay at the door when you arrive for the meeting.

Please note that members are asked to confirm their attendance at all meetings.  
 
**No-shows are a recurring problem and continue to adversely affect the LEBC's efforts to manage expenses.**   
 
The Marriott charges the LEBC for all reservations made and not cancelled by noon on the Friday immediately prior to the Luncheon.
