Continuing Education Credits
The LEBC is applying for one hour continuing education credit for eligible presentations with the Kentucky Bar Association, the Joint Board of the Enrollment of Actuaries, the Kentucky State Board of Accountancy, the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries, and the Kentucky Department of Insurance. Forms for qualifying continuing education credits will be available at the registration table.

Speaker Presentation
John Kiebler, Jr., HIA, MHP, PAHM, LUTCF, CBC of Humana will present Healthcare Reform.
Mr. Kiebler is a graduate of University of Kentucky and has 24 years of experience with employee benefit sales. He is currently the Director of Small Group Sales for Humana's Central Kentucky market. He has held positions with the Association of Health Insurance Agents, National Association of Health Underwriters and the Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors in addition to the Lexington Employee Benefits Council. He is currently active as the State Political Involement Chair with the Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the State Political Action Chair with the Association of Health Underwriters, and Legislative Chair with the Society of Financial Service Professionals, Lexington Chapter.
The lunch menu will include the following:
Mixed field greens, hot house cucumber, spaghetti carrots, sprouts, red tomato mushrooms with choice of balsamic vinaigrette or ranch dressing.
Italian Lasagna. Focaccia, Rustic Italian breads and butter.

Meeting & Guest Policies
You are invited to attend all LEBC monthly luncheon and presentation meetings as well as LEBC Sub-Council meetings.
The monthly luncheon meetings are the second Tuesday of the month and begin at 11:30 a.m. with registration and a time for networking and socializing. Lunch will be served at Noon. Speaker presentations begin at approximately 12:15 p.m. Meetings will conclude no later than 1:30 p.m.
Guests are welcome at our monthly luncheon meetings for a fee of $50. Add your guest information to the RSVP, or notify the Membership Chair:

Sub-Council meetings are the fourth Tuesday of the month and begin at 12 noon. Cost for attending these meetings is $40 for members who did not sign up with their annual dues and $50 for guests.
If you would like to attend a Sub-Council meeting, RSVP through the newsletter and pay at the door when you arrive for the meeting.

**No-shows are a recurring problem and continue to adversely affect the LEBC's efforts to manage expenses.**
The Marriott charges the LEBC for all reservations made and not cancelled by noon on the Friday immediately prior to the Luncheon.

Day at the Downs - Save the Date
The 2010 LEBC Day at the Downs will be held on Thursday, May 20th. Please mark your calendars to join us on Millionaires' Row for a day of food, fun and networking. You'll receive more detailed information in a couple of weeks.

2010 Great Lakes Benefit Conference
The LEBC is a Cooperating Sponsor of the 2010 Great Lakes Beneifts Conference. This year's conference will be held at the Wyndham Chicago on June 16-17. The conference is jointly sponsored by the IRS and ASPPA. More information is available at www.asppa.org/greatlakes. |
