Important 2010 LEBC Information
 
2010 Officers & Program Committee Members
 
At the January Meeting the slate of 2010 officers was voted on and approved by LEBC Members.
 
The 2010 Officers are:

LEBC Survey Results
 
The results are in.  Of the responses received, the highest percentage (47%) preferred to keep our meetings on the second Tuesday of the month.  Fourteen-percent preferred the second Thursday of the month while 18% preferred the third Tuesday of the month.  The remaining respondents had no opinion. 
 
Based on the survey results, we will continue to meet the second Tuesday of each month.
Continuing Education Credits
 
The LEBC is applying for one hour continuing education credit for eligible presentations with the Kentucky Bar Association, the Joint Board of the Enrollment of Actuaries, the Kentucky State Board of Accountancy, the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries, and the Kentucky Department of Insurance. Forms for qualifying continuing education credits will be available at the registration table.

Speaker Presentation
 
Michael Duke will present Coaching Your Employees.
 
Mr. Duke has been in ministry, sales, corporate management and most recently an entrepreneur and author.  He started out in sales with a national hardware company and went to the top.  At age 26, he became the youngest district manager in the country.  While accomplishing phenomenal success in his career, Mr. Duke earned a graduate degree in Management in 1986.  He soon discovered that he had the heart of a teacher and began a parallel career as a college instructor.  He established his consulting business in 2000 and now devotes his full schedule to writing, consulting, and speaking to businesses in the region.  
 
Lunch Menu
 
The All-American Midwest Buffet which will include the following:
 
Mixed field greens with roasted corn, cheddar cheese, sliced black olives with choice of blue cheese dressing or garlic & herb vinaigrette.
 
Rice and red bean salad with smoked cheese, green onions and romano cheese vinaigrette.
 
Grilled sausage, pasta and roast red pepper salad with sweet onions and garlic basil emulsion.
 
Mixed citrus segment salad.
 
Parmesan-crusted chicken breast with basil and three cheese sauce.
 
Salmon with oven dried tomaton and saffron lobster sauce.
 
Roasted red-skin potatoes, assorted fresh vegetables drizzled with butter and sprinkled with parmesan cheese.
 
Rolls and Butter and Assorted pies and cakes.

Meeting & Guest Policies
 
You are invited to attend all LEBC monthly luncheon and presentation meetings as well as LEBC Sub-Council meetings.
 
The monthly luncheon meetings are the second Tuesday of the month and begin at 11:30 a.m. with registration and a time for networking and socializing. Lunch will be served at Noon. Speaker presentations begin at approximately 12:15 p.m. Meetings will conclude no later than 1:30 p.m. 
 
Guests are welcome at our monthly luncheon meetings for a fee of $50. Add your guest information to the RSVP, or notify the Membership Chair:

Sub-Council meetings are the fourth Tuesday of the month and begin at 12 noon. Cost for attending these meetings is $40 for members who did not sign up with their annual dues and $50 for guests.  
 
If you would like to attend a Sub-Council meeting, RSVP through the newsletter and pay at the door when you arrive for the meeting.

Please note that members are asked to confirm their attendance at all meetings.  
 
**No-shows are a recurring problem and continue to adversely affect the LEBC's efforts to manage expenses.**   
 
The Marriott charges the LEBC for all reservations made and not cancelled by noon on the Friday immediately prior to the Luncheon.
