Continuing Education Credits
 
The LEBC is applying for one continuing education credit for eligible presentations with the Kentucky Bar Association, the Joint Board of the Enrollment of Actuaries, the Kentucky State Board of Accountancy, the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries, the Kentucky Department of Insurance. Forms for continuing education credits will be available at the registration table.

Invoices were mailed in December for Annual Membership Dues, in the amount of $275 per Member.
 
Sub-Council Dues
 
The cost of four Retirement Plan Meetings is $120.
 
The cost of four Health & Welfare Meetings is $120.

B. Janell Grenier, Esquire will speak on "Researching and Finding Employee Benefits Information and Employee Benefits Blogs"  Ms. Grenier is an Attorney, principal of the Law Office Grenier, located in the Philadelphia region.
 
Grenier has over 20 years of experience with major law firms counseling clients in all aspects of employee benefits and ERISA law, including the design, drafting, implementation and administration of qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, flexible compensation programs, welfare benefits plans and and fiduciary law aspects of ERISA. Her clients have included small private start-up companies, family-owned businesses, Fortune 100 companies, as well as tax-exempt and governmental entities.

Ms. Grenier holds a BMUS from the University of Oklahoma, 1977, and a JD from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, 1980.

Salad: Bibb Lettuce and Baby Spinach with Roasted Pears, Toasted Pecans, Blue Cheese Crumbles, Sun Dried Cranberries and Raspberry Vinaigrette

Speaker Presentation
 
Mark Simpson, Senior Director of Legendary People, Texas Roadhouse Restaurants, will present "Keepin' It Legendary: How a culture of fun can benefit your employees and your company." 

As Senior Director of Legendary People at Texas Roadhouse restaurants, Mark Simpson oversees executive and management recruiting, benefits and compensation, HR administration (HRIS/Payroll), risk management and employee relations for the 300 plus unit concept. Prior to joining Texas Roadhouse, Mark was the Director of Human Resources for Al Copeland Investments. Simpson also served as the Regional Director of Human Resources for Ruby Tuesday Inc.
 
Prior to joining Ruby Tuesday, Mark was the Director of Recruiting for Peasant Restaurants in Atlanta and Senior Management Recruiter for Piccadilly Cafeterias in Baton Rouge.  A graduate of Louisiana State University, Mark is active in a number of charitable organizations including, Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics, Visually Impaired Preschool Services and the YMCA. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Restaurant Association.

Meeting & Guest Policies
 
You are invited to attend all LEBC monthly luncheon and presentation meetings as well as LEBC Sub-Council meetings.
 
The monthly luncheon meetings are the second Tuesday of the month and begin at 11:30 a.m. with registration and a time for networking and socializing. Lunch will be served at Noon. Speaker presentations begin at approximately 12:15 p.m. Meetings will conclude no later than 1:30 p.m. 
 
Guests are welcome at our monthly luncheon meetings for a fee of $50. Add your guest information to the RSVP, or notify the Membership Chair:

Sub-Council meetings are the last Tuesday of the month and begin at 12 noon. Cost for attending these meetings is $40 for members who did not sign up with their annual dues and $50 for guests.  
 
If you would like to attend a Sub-Council meeting, RSVP through the newsletter and pay at the door when you arrive for the meeting.

Please note that members are asked to confirm their attendance at all meetings.  
 
**No-shows are a recurring problem and continue to adversely affect the LEBC's efforts to manage expenses.**   
 
The Marriott charges the LEBC for all reservations made and not cancelled by noon on the Friday immediately prior to the Luncheon.
