Important 2009 LEBC Information
2009 Officers & Program Committee Members
At the January Annual Meeting the slate of the 2009 officers were approved by the LEBC Members.
The 2009 Officers are as follows:
- President: Valerie Mayer
- Vice President: Linda Weber
- Secretary: Jean Watson
- Treasurer: Debby Coons
- Membership Chair: John Bartlett
- Sub-Council Chair: Ben Evans
- Immediate Past President: Jeff Hamilton
We are looking to fill vacancies on the Program Committee. If you would like to volunteer to serve on the two-year LEBC Program Committee, please contact Linda Weber by email, or by phone, at (502) 493-4323.

Continuing Education Credits
The LEBC is applying for one continuing education credit for each presentation with the Kentucky Bar Association, the Joint Board of the Enrollment of Actuaries, the Kentucky State Board of Accountancy, the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries, the Kentucky Department of Insurance. Forms for continuing education credits will be available at the registration table.

Invoices were mailed in December for Annual Membership Dues, in the amount of $275 per Member.
The cost of four Retirement Plan Meetings is $120.
The cost of four Health & Welfare Meetings is $120.

Speaker Presentation
Wendell Berry, Please join us as we have a conversation with Author Wendell Berry regarding his essay "Solving for Pattern" that focuses on finding solutions that solve multiple problems, while minimizing the creation of new problems. Don't miss your chance to talk with one of Kentucky's best known poets, essayist, farmer and novelist.

Meeting & Guest Policies
You are invited to attend all LEBC monthly luncheon and presentation meetings as well as LEBC Sub-Council meetings.
The monthly luncheon meetings are the second Tuesday of the month and begin at 11:30 a.m. with registration and a time for networking and socializing. Lunch will be served at Noon. Speaker presentations begin at approximately 12:15 p.m. Meetings will conclude no later than 1:30 p.m.
Guests are welcome at our monthly luncheon meetings for a fee of $50. Add your guest information to the RSVP, or notify the Membership Chair:

Sub-Council meetings are the last Tuesday of the month and begin at 12 noon. Cost for attending these meetings is $40 for members who did not sign up with their annual dues and $50 for guests.
If you would like to attend a Sub-Council meeting, RSVP through the newsletter and pay at the door when you arrive for the meeting.

Please note that members are asked to confirm their attendance at all meetings.
**No-shows are a recurring problem and continue to adversely affect the LEBC's efforts to manage expenses.**
The Marriott charges the LEBC for all reservations made and not cancelled by noon on the Friday immediately prior to the Luncheon.
