Meeting details are provided below, along with a link to the LEBC Web site to RSVP online. Please RSVP no later than Noon, Friday, November 21, if you plan to attend.
As mentioned in the email you received earlier today announcing the completion of the new LEBC Web site, the RSVP forms have a new look. You may use the RSVP button, which is located on each page in the right margin. Once on the RSVP page, select Sub-Council Meeting. Speaker Presentation
Elizabeth R. Potts, CPA, Account Executive, Retirement Management Services, LLC. will present Recent Trends in IRS Examinations of DC Plans.
Elizabeth will discuss her experiences with actual IRS examinations of several retirement plans over the past couple of years, considering:
- Why were these plans selected?
- What issues were uncovered by the IRS?
- How does the new "focus audit" approach work?
- What type of plan is the IRS currently targeting and will be targeting in 2009?
Also, please remember that the charge for the luncheon is $40 for members ($50 for guests) and is payable at the door. Please make your checks payable to the Louisville Employee Benefits Council.

Parking vouchers are available at meetings for individuals parking in the Marriott garage.
Valet parking will not be reimbursed.

Meeting & Guest Policies
Sub-Council meetings are the last Tuesday of the month and begin at noon. Cost for attending these meetings is $40 for members and $50 for guests.
If you would like to attend a Sub-Council meeting, RSVP through the newsletter and pay at the door when you arrive for the meeting.

Please note that members are asked to confirm their attendance at all meetings.
**No-shows are a recurring problem and continue to adversely affect the LEBC's efforts to manage expenses.**
The Marriott charges the LEBC for all reservations made and not cancelled by noon on the Friday immediatley prior to the Luncheon.
