ACT WORKSHOPS for JUNE 11 ACT TEST TAKERS
For any students who plan to take the June 11 ACT test, there will be two free Saturday workshops on May 28 and on June 4. Students will need to bring a calculator, pencils, the formula list provided to them by Mrs. Richardson, and snacks / lunch. The workshop will run from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day and will consist of general instruction, a full-lenghth practice test, including essay, and scoring / discussion following. So that we will have enough materials on hand, students must sign up with Mrs. Bell (list posted on her office door, or email her at mbell@evangelclassical.org). We do ask that only students who are taking the June 11 test attend these dates.
INTERESTED IN ADDITIONAL ACT WORKSHOPS?
If there is demand for it, we will hold a summer series of five half-day workshops for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The cost of that series will be $30.00 to cover the cost of the book we will use, and the class will meet on Friday mornings from 8:00 - 12:00. While they are subject to change, the classes are tentatively scheduled for June 3, June 10, June 24, July 1, and July 29. Homework will be assigned between classes to hopefully keep the students on a schedule of purposeful test preparation all summer. Should you desire to attend this summer workshop series, please sign up at the front desk with Mrs. Holcombe and submit your $30.00 check for materials. Should the class not make, the check will be returned to you. The deadline to sign up is Friday, May 27. The class will need at least eight participants to make, and will be limited to the first twenty students to sign up.
