GRANDPARENTS' DAY WAS A TRULY GRAND EVENT!
Thanks to all the parents and grandparents who braved the cold and wet weather to enjoy the L&R student chapel and Grammar class presentations. The students did a remarkable job and were delighted to have their grandparents see their school!
RE-ENROLLMENT DATES:
Existing families: January 18th-February 7th
Priority families: February 7th-February 28th
Open enrollment: March 1st
Please complete Re-enrollment forms and return them, along with the Parent Survey, to the school office by February 7th. Several Grammar School grades are currently full, so to ensure your child's spot for next year, make sure you turn in your re-enrollment form by February 7th.

Spend the most money on Scrip in February and March and win a $100 gift card for FREE gasoline! Feb. 1st - March 31st....winner announced the first week in April. Email the Scrip Coordinator if you have any questions. We're already off to a great start!
WALK-A-THON UPDATEDon't forget that Monday is the deadline to turn commitment cards and T-shirt designs in! Parents, please help your children address and mail the brochures or use the online version here. Let's make this the most successful Walk-a-Thon ever! RECOGNITION ADS AVAILABLE FOR YEARBOOK Do you have a graduating senior? Do you have a 5th grader promoting to Logic school? Do you just want to show your child how special they are? A recognition ad in the Yearbook is a great way to do just that! Recognition ad order forms were sent home last week in Grammar folders and emails to Logic and Rhetoric families. All you need to do is fill out the form and return it to the school with your payment. A Yearbook staffer will contact you to design your ad. Support the Yearbook and your child by purchasing a recognition ad for the 2011 Trivium. DOUBLE POINTS FOR MY COKE REWARDSFebruary 1-7 is Double Points week for Coke brand bottle tops. By holding your bottle tops until that week and entering the code on www.mycokerewards.com/schools, you can help ECCS earn items like P.E. equipment, art supplies, educational resources, and more. Logic & Rhetoric School Updates |
Service Day
The Beta Club, under the leadership of sponsor Mrs. Martha Earwood is planning a school wide service day for all students grades 6-12 on February 18. All the students and teachers will go out into the community on various service projects. Students will need to pack a sack lunch. Please be in prayer for this day to be a blessing to the students and to the community. This will be a huge organizational effort, and many volunteer drivers will be needed. We will also need volunteers to coordinate our group snack after the students come back in from their projects. If you are interested in volunteering to drive or help organize and / or provide for the snack, please email Kim Parks at kparks@evangelclassical.org.
Winter Cotillion Almost Here!
The menu has been planned, the tickets have been purchased, and the team is ready for the Third Annual Winter Cotillion next Friday night. Remember that both Logic and Rhetoric School students will be dismissed at 1:00 on Friday. Thanks to the many parent volunteers who have worked so hard to plan for the Cotillion. Please be in prayer that the Cotillion will be a fun and memorable evening for our students and also a time of true growth that gives them the opportunity to strengthen friendships across the grade levels. Dance, Dance, Dance! Logic School students only have one more week of dance lessons in PE, but Rhetoric School students still have many Friday afternoons of dance lessons remaining. Don't forget--dance lessons each Friday from 3:30-4:30 for any Rhetoric School students who wish to attend. We are extending this invitation to the 8th graders as well because we have enough space to accommodate them too.
Free Replacement of Uniform Shirts
It has come to our attention that some of our rhetoric students' chambray blue mesh polos are fading in bleached steaks and patches in the fabric. You simply need to contact Lands End to have those shirts replaced at no charge. Contact DeeDee O'Neal, head of the uniform committee, with any questions for further concerns you may have.

MDO re-enrollment has begun for the next school year. We already have a strong start to our next year! If you have not registered, please stop by the downstairs reception desk to pick up an application as soon as possible to reserve your child's spot. We look forward to another great year at Evangel's Mother's Day Out!
