Friday, January 28th at 7:00p.m.
Saturday, January 29th at 5:30p.m.
Robin Hood is leading a merry life with his followers in Sherwood Forest. Unfortunately, the evil Prince John has taken the place of King Richard the Lion-Hearted, who has gone to the Holy Land on a crusade. With King Richard absent, Prince John is waging a personal war against Robin Hood. Meanwhile, Lady Merle of Cornwall hopes to make John more acceptable to the people of England by forcing Maid Marian, Robin's childhood sweetheart, to marry the wicked prince. Only the brave and shrewd Robin Hood can secure Nottingham for the safe return of the king.
Come and see Robin and his merry band as they work to save Maid Marian and the people of Sherwood Forest. Hi, Ho, Robin Hood is a family entertainment at its utmost and is filled with many action packed sword fights and delightful songs. This engaging adventure captures the hearts of both young and old with spirited verse and humor galore!

Logic & Rhetoric School Updates |
Planning Underway for the Third Annual ECCS Winter Cotillion
Many thanks to our Cotillion planning committee members who have already started working on the details of this year's Winter Cotillion. This event is a big one for our Logic School students, and we're so thankful for all the parents who pull together to make it happen each year. The Cotillion will be held on Friday, February 11 in the Evangel gym. Students will be dismissed at 1:00 that day so that they can rest up and get ready for the evening. Tickets are $30.00 and will cover the costs associated with the event, including a three course meal. Tickets must be purchased by January 28th. The event will begin at 6:30 and end at 10:00. Dress for the Cotillion is semi-formal. Girls should wear dresses, and boys needs to wear coats and ties. Dresses should not be too short, too tight, or too revealing in any way. For the Cotillion, we do ask that girls choose their dresses carefully, avoiding strapless dresses, dresses that show any cleavage, and dresses that are too short. We will not require shrugs for dresses that have straps, however. If you have any question about a particular dress, please don't hesitate to ask Mrs. Parks.
The Snow Ball
The Second Annual Snow Ball, an informal dance sponsored by the International Travel Club, will be held on January 22, the night of our Snowball Run. The Logic School Dance (grades 6-8) will be held from 5:30-7:30, and the Rhetoric School Dance (grades 9-12) will be held from 7:30-10:00. Dress is casual, but no denim allowed. There will be music, games, prizes, and snacks. Tickets are $5.00 in advance or at the door. As a special nod to our eighth graders (who are almost freshmen), the IT Club has invited all eighth graders who attend the Logic School Dance to stay for the Rhetoric School Dance as well. Please note, however, that only eighth graders who attend the Logic portion of the dance are eligible for this privilege. Please be wise in your dress choices--dress modestly and appropriately for dancing and games, with nothing too tight, too revealing, or too short.
Dance, Dance, Dance! If you have a Logic School student, you have probably already heard the news. Next week they will begin a series of eight dance lessons during their PE times. Curt and Wendy Johnson, certified ballroom dance instructors, will be working with them. (Please note that they will still have journals to turn in to Mrs. Richardson.)
Rhetoric School students will also have the opportunity to have the Johnsons instruct them on Friday afternoons from 3:30-4:30 starting this Friday and going through the Spring Protocol Dance. We are so excited about the opportunity to have the Johnsons as our dance instructors, and we know the kids will have a great time learning some new steps. |
