Christmas PTF Program

You are invited to join us tonight, December 9th, at 6:30 for the ECCS Christmas program "An Evening of Celebration: Songs and Symbols of the Season." Grammar and L&R students will join together and present a wonderful and beautiful evening of scripture, symbols, celebration, and songs of the Christmas season.

Our "Socks for Soldiers," which we encourage in lieu of student gift exchanges, will culminate in this evening program. Collection bins will be located at the sanctuary entrance.

We hope everyone can join us for this special event. We wish each family a very Merry Christmas.

The Oracle Book Signing Tonight

The Oracle CoverMrs. Karin Ballstadt Will Be Signing The Oracle Tonight

We know that many of Mrs. Ballstadt's readers have been anxiously awaiting the sequel to last year's The Six, and we are pleased to announce that it is now available for purchase.  You can order it on Amazon, or we have copies available for purchase at the school.  The books are $14.00 each.  We have a limited supply of both The Oracle and The Six (with its new cover designed by ECCS students). Mrs. Ballstadt will be available from 5:00-6:45 in the lobby tonight before the Christmas PTF program to sign copies.  Books will be sold on a first come, first serve basis, and are available at both school offices.  Checks should be made out to ECCS.

As she did last year, Mrs. Ballstadt will be donating a portion of the proceeds of book sales through the school to the Capital Campaign.  The Oracle has gotten rave reviews thus far, and we are so thrilled and thankful to have such a talented author on our faculty! Everyone come out to support Mrs. Ballstadt tonight.

Note on Make Up Work
A lot of students have been absent recently due to illness.  Therefore, we will run a special make-up session on Monday, December 13 right after school.  We will also run our regular Wednesday make up session next week, and if necessary, we will run a make up session next Friday after school dismisses at 1:00.  Encourage your child to communicate with his/her teachers to make sure he/she understands what make up work is outstanding.  Parents are always welcome to contact teachers via email, but we do ask that you not come into the hallways in the mornings or afternoons to seek out teachers.  If you need a face-to-face meeting, please call or email first and set up a conference time.

Announcing the Third Annual ECCS Winter Cotillion
The ECCS Logic School students have already had their first dance lesson, and last Saturday night they got to put their new skill into practice.  They had a wonderful time at the Christmas Masquerade, and we know that they are already looking forward to their Winter Cotillion.  Formal invitations to the Cotillion will be sent out next week.

The Cotillion will be held on Friday, February 11 in the Evangel gym.  Students will be dismissed at 1:00 that day so that they can rest up and get ready for the evening. Tickets are $30.00 and will cover the costs associated with the event, including a three course meal.  Tickets will go on sale on January 4th and must be purchase by January 28th. The event will begin at 6:30 and end at 10:00.

Dress for the Cotillion is semi-formal.  Girls should wear dresses, and boys needs to wear coats and ties.  Dresses should not be too short, too tight, or too revealing in any way.  The girls did a wonderful job of choosing their dresses for the Masquerade, and we are confident that they will make good choices for the Cotillion as well.
