Fall Festival is Saturday, October 30th, 12:00-3:00
$4 "Classic Meal" tickets as well as $5 and $10 punchcards and $20 unlimited play armbands are on sale now. Please return order forms to your child's teacher now.
Would you be will to help with distributing advertisements and parents to help Beth Sanders with the silent auction.
Don't forget to ask your room mom/dad what basket your class is putting together for the silent auction!

Grammar Update | |
The fresh, crisp feel of fall is in the air and ECCS students have been enjoying recess and outdoor time more than ever! The grammar students have the best view from their classroom windows of the changing leaves surrounding this beautiful campus. Each year the fall season ushers in not only prime football season, caramel apples, and a nice crunch of leaves under our feet, but also the first quarter's report cards. Grammar report cards will be distributed in the carline on Friday. We are so proud of each student's academic progress and look forward to the continuing task of partnering with you in their education. But academics is not our only goal. Most importantly, we seek to help you raise them in the nurture and admonition of our Lord Jesus. We don't really give a grade for their spiritual growth, but it is evident everyday in their kind words and thoughtful actions. Teachers will encourage and admonish, always seeking to lead and guide them to their Saviour. "Well done, my good and faithful servant," is what we all hope to receive on our report card! |

Logic & Rhetoric School Updates |
Spirit Day on Friday, October 29
Friday night, October 29 is the last football game this season at Shelby Academy. We will play hope in a rematch for the regional title. We hope everyone can come out to the game. To celebrate the great season that we've had, we're calling for a special Spirit Day on October 29. Remember the Spirit Day rules:
-Anyone can wear jeans or khaki pants
-Boys may wear khaki or plaid Bermuda shorts
-Girls may wear denim or khaki Capris
-Tennis shoes.
-Only this year's spirt day tee shirts. Seniors may wear their new
senior tee shirts. Varsity players may wear
football jerseys. Otherwise,
all others must wear this year's Spirit Day tee shirts.
-Neither girls nor boys should wear tight, form fitting jeans.
Parents, please ensure that your children do not have on jeans
that are too tight when they come to school!
ACT October 23
A few reminders for those who are taking the test this Saturday:
-Don't forget your pencils, admission ticket, ID, and calculator!
-Get a good night's rest.
-Give yourself extra time to get to the testing site.
-Eat a good breakfast.
-Take some time to prepare between now and the 23rd.
November Menus
Renweb opened for ordering November lunches (Nov. 1 - Dec. 3) on October 18. All orders must be placed on Renweb, with the money turned in, by 4:00 p.m. on October 25. Thanks to everyone for doing such a great job of learning and accessing the new ordering system in Renweb. It's made the process much easier!
Fall Festival is Right Around the Corner!
Thanks to Mrs. Becky Reese for coordinating the Logic School Fossil Baskets for the Silent Auction. Remember that any donations Logic School parents wish to make towards these can be taken through the front office. Details from Mrs. Kathryn Rapier about the Rhetoric School basket will be forthcoming. Great Report Cards
ECCS L & R students did a great job first quarter. In every course across the spectrum, the course average was a B or above. We were very proud of the students and their hard work first quarter! |

Athletic Updates |
Undefeated Lightning Volleyball Team Champions Again!
Congratulations to Coaches Dan Ellis and Caprice Lawrence on leading the varsity Lightning Volleyball to an undefated regular season and their second straight state title. Congratulations to the JV team as well for coming in second. Unfortunately, the JV Football season is over. It's been a great season, and fans have loved watching the JV Lightning! They ended their undefeated season this Tuesday with a solid win over rival Hope Christian. Evangel Mother's Day Out & Preschool Updates

Our 3K students celebrated the fall season last week. They had a great time going to the "Pumpkin Patch" Thanks to all the parents who sent in items for this fun event!
We need stuffed animals for the Fall Festival. If you have any stuffed animals that you would like to donate, please bring them by the MDO office by October 28th. Please send stuffed animals that are in good condition.
Fall Festival is Saturday, October 30th from 12 - 3. We need volunteers to work the MDO booths. Please come by the MDO office to sign up.
MDO T-shirt day is next Thursday, October 28th.
Our 4K Thanksgiving Feast if November 12th at 11:00. Look for information in your child's folder this week!
Fall picture proofs are in. They should be in your child's folder this week. Please return these by Tuesday, November 2nd. |
