Fall Festival is Saturday, October 30th, 12:00-3:00
We're looking for a few good men!  We are working on putting a team of 5 dads together for the early morning set up and another 5 for the break down of the Fall Festival.  Will you help?
We are also in need help with distributing advertisements and parents to help Beth Sanders with the silent auction. Ask your room mom/dad what basket your class is putting together for the silent auction!
Contact our PTF President, Traci Allen, at mallen9916@bellsouth.net  or 664-9916 to volunteer.

Use SCRIP to Lower Your Tuition & Support ECCS!
EXCITING NEWS!  Starting now, if you buy SCRIP, you can use 1/2 of the profit generated from the gift cards for a tuition discount!  That means that if you buy a $25 gift card that earns ECCS $5 in charitable donations (i.e., The Amen Corner), you can use $2.50 of that money towards your tuition costs!  The other 1/2 is a charitable contribution to the school, so you can write it off on your taxes!  And we keep up with all of that for you.  Why wouldn't you sign up and order Scrip?! Visit our Scrip website for more information or go to shopwithscrip.com and see over 300+ retailers that participate.  More information concerning Scrip will be sent home soon.  Visit our SCRIP page to see how to set up your account, or fill out an order form from the school and we will order the gift cards for you!  Questions?  Email BrandonDonnalee@yahoo.com .

Boxtops Contest
Fill up as many Box Tops sheets as you can by November 19th to enter a random drawing to win an awesome Family Movie Basket!  Winner to be announced at this year's Christmas PTF program (which is Thursday, December 9th.)
Grammar Update
The fresh, crisp feel of fall is in the air and ECCS students have been enjoying recess and outdoor time more than ever! The grammar students have the best view from their classroom windows of the changing leaves surrounding this beautiful campus. Each year the fall season ushers in not only prime football season, caramel apples, and a nice crunch of leaves under our feet, but also the first quarter's report cards. Grammar report cards will be distributed in the carline on Friday. We are so proud of each student's academic progress and look forward to the continuing task of partnering with you in their education. But academics is not our only goal. Most importantly, we seek to help you raise them in the nurture and admonition of our Lord Jesus. We don't really give a grade for their spiritual growth, but it is evident everyday in their kind words and thoughtful actions. Teachers will encourage and admonish, always seeking to lead and guide them to their Saviour. "Well done, my good and faithful servant," is what we all hope to receive on our report card!
Logic & Rhetoric School Updates
Mrs. Parks is doing well, recovering nicely.  Thanks for all your prayers for her.

Spirit Day Tomorrow!!!
After the fun we had at homecoming week, we thought a few reminders about what a "normal" spirit day is might be helpful for our Logic and Rhetoric students!  Remember:
-Anyone can wear jeans or khaki pants
-Boys may wear khaki or plaid Bermuda shorts
-Girls may wear denim or khaki Capris
     -Tennis shoes.
-Only this year's spirt day tee shirts.  Seniors may wear their new
senior tee shirts.  All other groups must wear the official spirit
day tee shirt for this year!
-Neither girls nor boys should wear tight, form fitting jeans.
Parents, please ensure that your children do not have on jeans
that are too tight when they come to school!

ACT October 23
The sophomores and juniors took the PSAT this Wednesday, and
several of them are also signed up to take the ACT on October 23.  A few reminders for those who are taking the test:

-Don't forget your pencils, admission ticket, ID, and calculator!
     -Get a good night's rest.
-Give yourself extra time to get to the testing site.
     -Eat a good breakfast.
-Take some time to prepare between now and the 23rd.

Amazing Grace
All ninth-twelfth graders are required to read
Amazing Grace by Eric Metaxes by his October 18 visit.  To be awarded their credit for reading the book, students must turn in a signed form that states that they read or listened to the unabridged book in full, with a parent's signature confirming that they did.  The form has been distributed to students in their literature classes, and is available at www.evangelclassical.org under "Forms and Resources" which is accessed from the "About" tab on the main menu.
Many of you have been asking whether or not the students would benefit from coming to the Sunday ticketed Metaxes event.  The answer is yes! The event on Sunday will be very different from

November Menus
Renweb will be open for ordering November lunches (Nov. 1 - Dec. 3) on October 18.  All orders must be placed on Renweb, with the money turned in, by 4:00 p.m. on October 25.  Thanks to everyone for doing such a great job of learning and accessing the new ordering system in Renweb.  It's made the process much easier!

Fall Festival is Right Around the Corner!
Thanks to Mrs. Becky Reese for coordinating the Logic School Fossil Baskets for the Silent Auction.  Remember that any donations Logic School parents wish to make towards these can be taken through the front office.  Details from Mrs. Kathryn Rapier about the Rhetoric School basket will be forthcoming.

Report Cards will be handed out to students in car line on Friday!
