 Constituting America Awards ECCS Senior
You may have heard by now about the excitement surrounding our school today. A national organization, Constituting America came to ECCS today in order to award Bethany Carter as the winner of a nationwide essay contest about the constitution. Janine Turner, founder and co-chair of CA was on hand to personally congratulate Bethany. Turner has been an actress for years appearing in movies like "Cliffhanger" with Sylvester Stalone, TV shows like General Hospital, Northern Exposure and Friday Night Lights. She was won an Emmy and a Golden Globe award. Her co-chair, Cathy Gillespie was also present and took part in the ceremony. Mrs. Gillespie is the wife of a former Republican National Committee Chairman and has been active in politics for years.
The organization created a contest to create awareness and interest about the founding documents and values of America among students. Bethany, a senior here at ECCS was chosen among thousand of entries as the winner! The contest has been featured on Fox News Live as well as the Glenn Beck program.
