Congratulations to Kate Westad, who became a shareholder at Lommen Abdo on January 1, 2010. Lommen Abdo applauds Kate's passion for her personal injury practice and her tenacity as an advocate for her clients.
2009 was a big year for Kate in several other ways:

She will be a leader in the trial lawyers organization's work, including contributing to Trial PAC (the MNAJ Political Action Committee); participating in membership drives and PAC drives, serving on committees and helping with political fundraising.
- Kate was selected as one of the 2009 Up & Coming Attorneys by Minnesota Finance & Commerce.
- One of Kate's cases last year was cited by Law & Politics as one of the Lawsuits of the Year.
- Kate was again listed as a Rising Star by Minnesota Law & Politics.
Kate's practice involves personal injury litigation, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, products liability and some family law.

Kate recently headed a team at Lommen Abdo to launch a new web site - www.WomenInjuryLawyers.com - that features "Focus on the Road," a public service campaign designed to draw attention to distraction driving such as cell phone use and texting by young and old drivers alike and to promote safe driving habits. Visit the web site and become a Facebook Fan of Focus on the Road to receive updates.
