| 2008 Campaign Continues |
| Since the August 26th kickoff, hundreds of volunteers have dedicated themselves to raising support and advocating on behalf of United Way. The campaign is getting close to reaching it's goal, but we're just not quite there yet.
"We can't stop asking until all of the dollars are in," Mintha Roach, 2008 Campaign Chair, said. "There are too many people depending on the services those dollars provide. We feel confident that the support is out there. We just need our previous donors to pledge again this year, and for those who have never given to consider joining them. I am asking for our community to respond as soon as possible."
"As the chair of this year's campaign, I have seen firsthand the number of people who have pulled together to volunteer their time or make a donation to help others less fortunate, even through difficult economic times. I'm proud to be part of such a generous community. With all of these gifts combined, it's amazing what we can do in Knoxville."

Getting A Chance to Say Thank You |
| Have you ever wanted to go back and thank someone for changing your life? Recently, a number of people
that have been helped by funds raised through the United Way campaign were given the chance to surprise donors by thanking them for their support. United Way supports a network of over 45 partner agencies that help over 75,000 people in the Knoxville community every year. This was their opportunity to let our community know just how important you are.
