Security Surveys & Training
Security SurveysOn Tuesday, October  27th from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. at Penfield Children's Center (833 N. 26th Street) the Milwaukee Police Department, Marquette University and other community partners will host a safety and security training for small businesses.  Hear from security experts in surveillance, security surveys and much more!  If you are planning to attend please RSVP, manager@sohidistrict.org .
Avenues West Landlord Compact, A Great SOHI Partner!

The Avenues West Landlord Compact is one of the strongest compacts in the city.  Landlords who own property in the Near Westside attend monthly meetings every second Thursday, 1:00 p.m. at YW Village, 835 N. 23rd Street.  For additional information contact avenueswest@sbcglobal.net .
State Street TheaterContractors unearthed a bit of SOHI's history earlier last month.  Trolley/Street car tracks were found underneath State street.  For additional historic pictures like the one above (only known picture of the State Street Theater as a theater) check out the one (1) minute video.
